About Ms. Crotty

Ms. Colleen Crotty holds the Bachelor of Music Education degree from Auburn University and the Master of Science in Music Education degree from Queens College in New York. She is certified Level III in Orff-Schulwerk, an innovative method of teaching music involving singing, playing instruments and moving. Ms. Crotty has taught middle and elementary school music in Alabama, New York and Georgia for over ten years.

Riverside Primary School makes music!

  We've got the beat!

  Students play Orff instruments called xylophones and metallophones.

 First grade children play tubano drums.

 Students show understanding of legato (smooth, connected) and staccato (short, detached) with scarves.
