WHAT IS THE RIVERSIDE FAMILY/COMMUNITY PROGRAM?
The family/community involvement program at Riverside Primary School was established in order to create a welcoming school environment by increasing family, school and community involvement. Parenting and educational classes are offered to families and community, designed to increase academic achievement of our students. Through workshops parenting sessions, and the recruiting of parents/community volunteers, we work to ensure that everyone has the knowledge to become a full partner in educating the children of Riverside.

It is a resource center dedicated to provide educational support to Riverside families and the community. It is a place to find information about parenting, a place to attend workshops that will enhance your knowledge related to helping students become successful, productive citizens, and a place to volunteer your time with students in the classroom setting. Through the Center, we hope to strengthen our school, families and community partnership. As the result, we will ensure that our student meet with success.
WHO USES THE RIVERSIDE FAMILY/COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER?
The Riverside Family/Community Resource Center is open to the staff, parents, and the community. If you are in need of information or activities to support children, the Center is the place to visit.
HOW CAN THE FAMILY/COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER BENEFIT ME AND MY CHILDREN?
The Family/Community Involvement Program is focused on increasing parent involvement at Riverside. It has been proven through research that children are much more successful in school if family and community are involved in the education process. Through a collaborative effort of home, school and community we will meet our goal of helping children succeed in all academic and social areas. So, let's work together as a team.
